Recently I came across these books . . .

Recently I came across these books . . .

Since long we are not posting anything on this blog so thought of posting about books I recently came across.

Recently on friendship day I gifted Parag one book ‘Every Second Counts”.
It’s a inspiring story which captures the mind-set of a man who has beaten incredible odds. Book was in boom as recently Tour de France was going on.

Every Second Counts is a 2003 autobiographical book by cyclist Lance Armstrong written in collaboration with sports writer and columnist Sally JenkinsIt is a follow-up to Armstrong's ‘It’s Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life’ which as well was written with Sally Jenkins. The narrative begins from after Armstrong's first Tour de France win in 1999 and continues up till his fifth win in 2003.

Another book is “Totto Chan, the Little Girl at the Window”.

Totto-chan, the Little Girl at the Window is a children’s book recommended by one of my office friend Swati written by Japanese television personality and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The book was published in 1981, and became an instant bestseller in Japan.
The book is about the values of the unconventional education that Kuroyanagi received at Tomoe Gakuen, a Tokyo elementary school founded by educator Sosaku Kobayashi during World War II, and it is considered her childhood memoir.

I think Alok, Chandana and Amol you can contribute more to this blog :-)
